Central, Standardized Rental/Sale Sign Marquee

Effective February 28, 2010, all Sandprints condominium unit owners will no longer be allowed to display any other form of advertisement for condominium rentals or sales in condominium unit windows, doors, patios, balconies, or anywhere on Association property. Association Rule 06-06 (Architectural Design Standards) contains the basic information concerning this requirement. The central, standardized rental/for sale sign marquee consists of three categories: a) vacation rental condominiums; b) long-term rentals with lease agreements; and, c) condominiums that are “for sale.”

To properly use this sign marquee, unit owners must order individual unit sign slats directly from Awesome Signs by calling 850.729.0760 and asking for either Audria or Mike (both owners). They will take your sign slat order and provide a cost estimate (approximately $28.00). Once your sign slat is made, it can be re-used for subsequent rentals/sales opportunities.

The unit owner responsibilities and procedures for using the central, standardized rental/for sale sign marquee are:

  • Only standardized sign slats produced by Awesome Signs are authorized to be placed in the central, standardized sign marquee
  • “For sale” sign slats must be removed from the sign marquee no later than 7 days after the sale (closing) of a unit
  • Long-term rental sign slats must be removed from the sign marquee no later than 7 days after the start date of the long-term rental/lease agreement

SANDPRINTS DRIVE (PARKING LOT) IS NOW ONE-WAY WITH THE COMPLETION OF THE SEALCOATING AND STRIPING. ENTER FROM DRIFTWOOD AVENUE ONLY.

ONE WAY SIGNS HAVE BEEN ERECTED, AND DIRECTIONAL ARROWS PAINTED ON THE PARKING LOT.

 


STORM DOOR/WINDOW REPLACEMENT: At the annual meeting in August, 2008, the Board of Directors approved the replacement of windows and storm doors on a worst come first served basis. A lottery was conducted and Bldg E will be the first building to have replacements for those windows and doors most needed. Guy's Mirror and Glass has the measurements, however, the cosmetic replacement of glass had to be delayed due to budget constraints for the 2008 year. As soon as the revenues for 2009 will allow for this work, we will notify the residents of E Building and the work will begin. Currently, the main goal is the sealcoating and striping of the parking lots, and asphalting the parking spaces in front of C Building to eliminate the drainage problem. The association will continue to repair/replace defective windows and doors, however, the ones that need to be replaced simply for cosmetic reasons are the ones that are being delayed. However, if owners wish to pursue replacement on their own, Guys Mirror and Glass in Destin has the measurements and can facilitate replacement of the glass that has simply lost its seal and is foggy.


Just a block away from the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico lies Sandprints, a condominium association complete with swimming pool, clubhouse, and center courtyard.
